What is a natural fiber composite and what are its technical properties?

A natural fiber composite is a material made of fibrous reinforcements (flax, hemp) embedded in a thermoset matrix such as polypropylene. These bio-based materials offer an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, good vibration damping properties, and provide a high-performance alternative to conventional composites made from synthetic fibers(fiberglass or carbon fiber).
